Do You Have a Guardian Angel?

Updated on January 30, 2012

Today there is a strong belief in Guarding Angels and this belief stems from centuries of lore. But, do guardian Angels really exist? Have they been known to come to the aid of those in discomfort? Why is it that they tend to appear to some but not others? Do you believe in guarding angels or do you have one of your own? If so, how can you find out? And how can you contact yours?

In recent times there is a fascination with knowing if one has a guarding angel or not in a recent survey by time magazine 69 percent of Americans believe n angels and almost half believe that they have a guardian angel. Scientifically of course there is no evidence for angels of course. Really the only evidence of guarding angels that is presented for their existence is the long traditional and religious stories from the bible and other people who have experienced them. It is ultimately a matter of faith, but, many believers relate there opinions on what a guardian angels roles in the person’s life and even how you can enlist their help.

What Are Guardian Angels?

Guarding angels are thought to be highly spiritual beings that are assigned to assist people here on earth in a variety of ways. We do not know if they are assigned per one basis or if there is one angel for a group of people that can be a very open question for debate. But, if you believe in them or not there are people out there that are very animate about you having one.

What is a guardian angel Assignment?

I guess a very broad definition might be that they are here to intercept at the many junctures in our lives and help wherever they can to insure our lives run smoothly. This could be just a simple thought that inspires us into action, or it could be one of super human strength like the many stories you have read of individuals. Like a story of a woman in North Dakota that lifted a car to free here trapped son, or the runaway truck swerving at the last moment with an unconscious driver at the wheel missing the bus stop at the last min full of people. All over the place there are many instances of which are often put down to luck, coincidence or even a miracle but that have been touched by an angel of light.

So why is that angels don’t come to a person’s aid every time they are asking for it? Sometimes the Angels must stand back, while they give us loving support only. We still have to work things out for ourselves even if we feel totally alone, the dark before the dawn.

How Do We Know Angels Are There?

There are those people who believe in the existence of angels and they also note that they rarely make a physical appearance. However, They have been known to make their presence knowing in a variety of different ways as well.

Believers have been known to report that they hear “angelic sounds totally beyond human description. Some people have feelings of warmth or comfort when their angels are near, or, in times of sadness or grief, a gentle cloak of feathered wings encasing them softly. It has also been reported that angels can feel entirely different, like a sudden rush of air created by passim by of an angel on a mission at the speed of light. This is often notices at times of impending disaster. At other times, it is simply an unexplainable presence is felt.

How to Contact Your Guardian Angel?

We all have guardian angels that are willing to communicate with us, but most of the time we are just too busy to listen to them. If we are attentive and willing to remain open we can receive subtle messages that can help us in our daily lives.

The best way to get a clear and concise message is o ask a direct question. Your angel will always answer your questions. You must ask your questions out loud. Clearly communicate you questions and you will get clear answers to every question. Expect answers o be explicit and to the truth of the matter and something you can put your hands around. Asking a silly question will in turn get you a silly answer because the universe will match your level of sincerity when asking so be precise and keep your mind open.

Guarding angels are always willing to help and respond to us. But, we have to be willing to accept the assistance of the guarding angel because we do have free will to reject. You don’t need to light candles or perform any type of ceremony to call upon your guarding angel. Here are 4 methods you can use to communicate with your guarding angel, some might seem more comfortable or familiar to you then you think.

!. You can simply go into a quiet are of your home and put your thought or questions on paper. Write them out spelling out your exact problem and need.

2. Use your mind’s eye and visualize the angels around you

3. Ask them call to them mentally, think out your plea to him/her

4. Speak out loud state your case verbally with your angel.

Another way to try and communicate is by making yourself very comfortable in a quiet corner of your home. You can sit down or lie down whichever is more comfortable to you. Be aware of your breathing, let you body become limp and relaxed. Empty your mind; create space, just as the whole universe was right there inside of you. Now just be. Not doing just being. Now communicate your guarding angel your question or wish and wait for them to connect to you. Wait quietly and patiently but be aware of what is happing in your surroundings. It may not be much at first but subtle changes will occur around you. You may see light colors or forms you may be aware of his/her presence. You may feel emotion or a tingling sensation or you just may feel love. Then use still and clear reception and communication. Pay them back with love as well. Just maintain a sense of harmony in your immediate environment.

We are left with a lot of questions and few if any answers. Is this just made up folly? Is the idea of guardian angels just human designed to help people cope with difficult situations or problems? Or do they real love spiritual beings? The idea of guardian angels cannot be proved nor disproved with any sense of completeness. Perhaps only your own faith and experiences in life can really determine that reality for you.
